Digivizer’s Date Picker now offers greater period-on-period analysis and reporting flexibility. You can leverage the predefined time periods or select and compare any period that is important to you.
Predefined period-on-period reports
Using Date Picker, you have the option to select from one of our predefined periods. When you choose one of these, Digivizer automatically compares the selected date range, to the exact same number of days prior to your selection.
To use the predefined periods;
Click on the right hand side date selection box to open Date Picker
Select the reporting period you wish to analyze from the drop down list
Click update and in most cases, Digivizer will automatically show you the period-on-period results for the exact number of days in the corresponding period
Predefined periods for Q1, Q2, Q3 or Q4 are based on the Australian calendar year and give users an instant comparison to the previous quarter irrespective of the number of days.
Month vs previous month comparison compares a month with the prior month, irrespective of the number of days. For example: July (31 days) compared with June (30 days). You have the option to select specific dates. For example; 1-31 July and then May 31-June 30th will compare 31 days in both periods.
Select a custom “compare to” period
To compare a predefined period to any other reporting period, you will need to change the “compare to” date. You do this by clicking the drop down arrow or anywhere on the “compare to” section to expand the view.
Select a period from the predefined list or, by manually selecting the date range you need. You do this by clicking the first date you want to report from and dragging your cursor through the weeks and months, ensuring you select the whole month before clicking to navigate to the next month.
Click the blue update button to view your period-on-period results.
Compare any period with any period
You can manually select any custom date range important to you. Digivizer will automatically compare to the exact same number of days prior to your selection.
You may choose to manually select a custom “compare to” period. You do this by clicking the drop down arrow next to the reporting period in the Compare to section.
An example of how to use a custom date range may be to select a specific quarter or month in 2023 and compare it with the same quarter or month in 2022. Or you can select an entire year to compare it to any previous year.
