Digivizer can offer powerful insights into customer journeys when Conversions are set up in your Google Analytics 4 (GA4) account. Benefits include:
Gaining clear insights into the success of key actions on your website or app, allows you to track and measure the effectiveness of your strategies.
Identifying the best and worst-performing channels across social media and search engines, enabling you to focus your efforts on high-performing platforms and optimize those that require improvement.
Leveraging valuable data to make informed decisions on prioritizing and optimizing your social media, search engine, and website channels, ensuring that resources are directed toward the most impactful areas for your business.
In this article, we will guide you through the process of setting up Conversions for particular Events in your GA4 account. Events are user interactions that occur on your website, such as button clicks, form submissions, video views or any custom actions you define.
Event vs. Conversion
Before setting up Conversions in GA4, you need to identify the Events you want to track. Events are user interactions that occur on your website, such as button clicks, form submissions, video views or any custom actions you define via Google Analytics. Once Events are set up, you can select specific Events to be tracked as Conversions.
For example, an e-commerce business ‘Purchase’ is an Event on the website that is valuable to set up as a Conversion in GA4 (‘Goal’ or ‘Goal Completion’ in Digivizer). Similarly, in the case of a SaaS company, ‘Trial sign up’ is an Event on the website that is valuable to set up as a Conversion.
How To Set Up A Conversion in GA4
Login to your GA4 account and select the relevant GA4 property.
Go to ‘Admin’.
Under Property, go to ‘Events’.
For the Event that you would like to set as a Conversion, select ‘Mark as Conversion’. See screen shot below. Note it is important to select your primary conversion events so that the most important conversions are being tracked.
In settings, go to Conversions to ensure that all selected appear. This is important because if there are no conversions they may not appear in the Conversions in Digivizer.
Go to Digivizer, Conversion Events are pulling in Traffic Source.
